Upcoming Litter of Interest For True Fanciers!

Postby BoldogKennel » March 24th, 2012, 4:33 pm

I just have to mention that if *I* was able to get another pup right now (or ever, actually) I would snap up one from this litter in a heart beat. While this kennel is in Florida, and I'm in Washington (about as far apart AS possible!) I have met and dealt with several dogs involved in this breeding. Kamata has lived here with me for several months, and I bred her to Dirk. Sligo and Amp are two of those pups. When last bred to XXX she produced a bitch named Gaia who is an AWESOME dog. Real, real, old school game type dog, easy going, friendly as hell, gooey, but what a grip! I've seen some other kamate pups and while she herself was not my favorite dog of all time (just personality conflict, nothing wrong with her) she sure throws good ones. XXX is eight years old - I'd like to get some of his semen if I had money. Oh well, I can dream, and I just wanted to mention that I don't get excited about litters that often, but this is a good one. BTW: For those who do schutzhund, you might not love this breeding, as these are dogs with NO defense - they are game to the core and so getting a "flashy" guard, etc, is more difficult with these guys. I guess that is why I like them so much!!!

If I could move I would love to get another pup off that breeding. I love my Gaia so much, and I have heard great things from others that have pups from that breeding. They do really seem to be a great pairing! Thank you for the kind words about my girl too, I honestly wish I could own 10 more dogs just like her! :)

How you and Gaia doing? You wouldn't believe how Gabe's bitch is doing! We are now working on off leash control in the bitework (heeling, etc) and she is AWESOME! Allgemeiner blew it BIG TIME when they lost those two!!!! You in Texas?

Not yet, still up here. Not really looking forward to moving again, especially all the way down south! haha That is awesome to hear they are doing so well though! He seemed like a really nice guy and his little bitch was just a cute little thing, I did see he's doing great as a decoy though!

Extremely well. Seriously. The guy is a natural, cares enough to not want to hurt the dogs, and is super quick to pick up reading the dogs. We are VERY lucky to have him.

WELCOME gabe love that avatar? Is that your pup? If so more photos would be nice...bigger ones :D I don't know if I could hog hunt with Archie I'd be a nervous wreck, for all those who do hog hunt or have an idea about it how to you find out whether your dog is any good? I mean I've heard if the dog doesn't go for an ear hold they could get seriously hurt, so how do you know whether your dog is capable if they've never done it?

yes thats my girl Meika she is grate we have lots of fun. i have pics and video on face book i will try to post some here. I dont know much about hog hunting but am very interested. it would be hard to see a dog of mine hurt in any way, but these dogs we love so much were devloped from a bloody past. hog hunting in my opinion is a good job for this breed and may also keep some of the traits we admire in our breed . There is no dening some will get hurt or even die, but if it was easy any dog could do it. over all i have heard if you get the protective gear they should be ok. i assume that their is some training and working up from a smaller to larger ones but i dont know. I would love to go along with some one who hunts often.
